The 41Street Quartet is a Chamber Pop Ensemble that uses unique instrumentation to combine elements of jazz and classical music. The Quartet was formed in 2015 when flautist Donna Viscuso decided to explore the musical possibilities created by joining woodwinds and strings from different musical backgrounds. The Quartet’s repertoire is a mixture of original compositions and arrangements of popular works by other composers. The result is an experience that is contemplative, joyful and visual. The Quartet consists of Donna Viscuso on flute, Klaudia Promessi on soprano saxophone, Viola Pellegrini on violin and Devon Thrumston on cello.
